Redskins surprise Giants, 28-14

The Washington Redskins got off to yet another strong start to the season with a 28-14 win over the New York Giants.

Washington Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan backtracked as to why quarterback Donovan McNabb didn’t finsh out Sunday’s game.

Shanahan said it wasn’t that McNabb wasn’t as good as backup Rex Grossman in the two minute drill, but that he had cardiovascular concerns.

In not so many words, Shanahan basically accused McNabb of being out of shape, which seems similar to what happened this summer with Albert Haynesworth.

It seems like Shanahan and McNabb aren’t on the same page and might not be each other’s biggest fans. (Read More…)
